We recently celebrated Dan Norman’s 20-year anniversary at our Twickenham nursery. Dan, who joined Sempervirens (now Twickenham Plant Centre) at the age of 21 in March 2004, has been an integral part of our team. Known for his dedication to customer service and maintaining high standards at the nursery, he is a trusted and respected colleague without whom our nursery wouldn’t have thrived. As a token of our appreciation, Dan received £1000 worth of gift vouchers of his choice, a framed certificate, and a surprise delivery of his favourite plant, a Tree Fern, to his home.
During the celebration, Steve spoke to Dan about his experiences at the nursery. When asked about his most memorable moment, Dan shared about his involvement in redesigning the layout during the construction of the neighbouring school, and the daily awe of witnessing the Concorde fly over at 11 am. Dan expressed his love for maintaining the nursery’s appearance and working outdoors, highlighting his preference for hands-on work over office environments.
Regarding the recent re-branding, Dan expressed his approval of the new name and smart uniforms, praising the improved layout, plant variety, and enhanced customer experience at the nursery. He described the upgrades as a pleasure to be part of and emphasized the enjoyable work environment it has created. When asked about his favourite plants, Dan revealed his love for Tree Ferns and Wisteria.
Congratulations and thank you Dan on your 20 years of dedicated service!
